Ginger eterinis aliejus is obtained by steam distillation of the roots of the plant Zingiber Officinale. The color of the aliejus is amber yellow. Its aromatas is exotic, slightly spicy, with a hint of citrus.

Studies have shown that ginger aliejus contains compounds, such as gingerol and its secondary metabolites, that reduce biomarkers of inflammation and act as modulators of the immune system. It is believed that ginger eterinis aliejus also has analgesic properties, so it can be an aid in dealing with pain of various type – muscle, menstrual and others. Diffusion of ginger aliejus could also relieve symptoms such as nausea and general upset stomach. It also has an aphrodisiac effect.

Ginger aliejus is also used successfully in oda care. It has strong antioxidant properties, which can help protect the oda from damage caused by free radicals. In addition, the astringent, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties of ginger aliejus make it suitable for application on acne-prone oda.

Ginger eterinis aliejus can also be applied to the plaukai – applying it to the galvos oda and plaukai (diluted in a suitable base) can strengthen plaukai, soothe itching and sudirginimas of the galvos oda, and reduce dandruff.

Ginger eterinis aliejus combines well with bergamot, cedarwood, clove, eucalyptus,  geranium, grapefruit,  juniper, lemon, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, ylang ylang and more.
